Davies, Robert

Robert Davies was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Davies of Mill Lane. Robert the father was a labourer born in Denbigh; Elizabeth was born in Buckley. From the 1911 census, Robert the son was born in Wrexham in 1896 or 1897. His sister Emma was also born in Wrexham. Another sister Eliza and a brother Stanley were later born in Ruabon. Robert was working as a collier on top. In all Robert and Elizabeth had 7 children before 1911 one of whom had died.

Robert was killed at Loos on the same day as two other Buckley boys, Joseph Evans and George Tatum, possibly alongside each other.
