Jones, John Henry

John Henry Jones was from Caernarfon. He is shown as J.H. Jones on the Hawkesbury Memorial and John H Jones at St Matthews.  UK Soldiers Who Died in The Great War 1914 -19 (accessible on www.ancestry.co.uk) includes an entry for him. It tells us that he was born and resided in Caernarvon but that he enlisted in Buckley.  Other than this, his connection to Buckley is not known. He is also named on the Caernarfon Memorial.

John Henry Jones was the son of Richard and Mary Jones, of 4 Well St., Caernarfon. In 1911 he was aged 16 listed as an errand boy in the census, living at 1911 Mt Pleasant Place Caernarfon, with father Richard 49 fisherman, mother Mary Ann 48, Lizzie Ann 13, Sarah 10, and Caroline 6.
