Edwards, Joseph Thomas

Joseph Thomas Edwards was the husband of Jane Ellen Edwards (nee Jones) and lived at the Blue Bell, Maes y Dre, Mold. Joseph Thomas and Jane Ellen were married in a Holywell District Civil Marriage in 1913. They had at least one daughter, Charlotte, who was the mother of Mrs. Pam Millington.

Joseph Thomas is remembered on a memorial plaque at Bryn Methodist Chapel at Alltami. In 1911, Joseph and his brother Jack were living with their grandparents, Peter and Ann Griffiths at Ash View, Alltami. In the 1901 census they and another brother Peter are listed both with their grandfather and, next door, with their father Joseph Edwards.

In Alltami Joseph would have been a close neighbour of James Bewley who was killed in Egypt in 1916. Jack Edwards served in Egypt and went on to live in St. Helens.

Joseph Thomas is also remembered on the Mold Memorial
