Hampson

The County Herald of 6th December 1918 reported the following:

MEMORIAL SERVICE

On Sunday evening last, St David’s Church, Pentre was filled to its utmost capacity by mourners and friends of the late Pte Forrester, of the Yacht Inn, and Private Hampson, of Pentre, two of the last young men of the district who have made the great sacrifice. The Rector (Canon Nicholas) made special reference to these lads, who belonged to a district which had furnished perhaps a larger quota for the Army than any other in North Wales. Special hymns were feelingly sung. Mr Andrew Hogg ably presided at the organ.

I have not been able to identify Private Hampson at all so I sincerely hope some reader will enlighten me.
