Alex survived, he was honoured by the people of Queensferry by having his name put on the “Roll of Honour”.

His Flintshire WW1 Index Card (Queensferry L51) tells us that his address was 45, Belgrave Terrace, Queensferry, his Regimental No. was 901 and he was a Trooper in the Denbighshire Hussars.  He stated that his period of service was 4 years and he signed the card on the 3rd May 1920.
