James survived, he was honoured by the people of Queensferry by having his name put on the “Roll of Honour”.

James’s Flintshire WW1 Index Card (Queensferry L12) tells us his rank, Regimental No. and Unit, also that his period of Service was 5 years and 82 days, his address was 41, Queens Street, Queensferry and he was wounded.   The card was signed by James on the 9th of November 1919.
