Day, Sydney

Sydney survived, he was honoured by the people of Queensferry by having his name put on the “Roll of Honour”.

There is an index card for Sydney in The Flintshire Roll of Honour in The County Record office in Hawarden.  (Card Queensferry L24). It tells us that his full name was Sydney John Scott Day and his address was 50, Glynn Street, Queensferry.  His period of service was 4 years and 6 months. He was awarded “Ordinary War medals including the 14-15 Star”   The card was signed on the 24th September 1919 by S.J.S. Day.
