Arthur is shown as having survived the war on the Roll of Honour because there is no asterisk besides his name. It seems that this was an error because he did die in the war and is remembered on the Hawarden War Memorial and the Connah’s Quay and Shotton Cenotaph. Please click on the link to read his story.
