Joseph survived, he was honoured by the people of Queensferry by having his name put on the “Roll of Honour”.

The information above was from his Flintshire WW1 Index Card (Queensferry L44), he gave his address as 21, Station Road, Pentre, his period of Service was 5 years and was still serving when he signed the card on the 23rd September 1919.    His Medal Card tells us that his first Theatre of War was the Balkans and he first entered on the 9th July 1915.  It also tells us about his medals.
