George survived. He was honoured by the people of Queensferry by having his name put on the “Roll of Honour”.  The information above was from his Flintshire WW1 Index Card (Queensferry L38).   He added that he had won the Military Medal, his period of Service was 4 and 1/2 years and he lived at  11, Station Road, Pentre.   The card was signed by George on the 22nd September 1919.
