Lloyd, William

At this time very little is known of William Lloyd.  At some stage in his life he lived at 116 Vale Road, Rhyl  and enlisted at the Recruitment Centre, Rhyl, Flintshire with the 1st South Wales Borderers. He arrived in India with the Regiment on Saturday 3 July 1915 and was killed in action on 10 July 1915.

He is also remembered on The North Wales Heroes Memorial Arch, Deiniol Road, Bangor, North Wales and on a Remembrance Plaque at The Royal Alexandra Hospital, Marine Drive, Rhyl, Flintshire.

There is a Flintshire Roll of Honour Card for William Lloyd at the County Archives Office, Hawarden, Flintshire, which was completed by J Jones Williams and dated 12 September 1919.
