Thomas Amos Morris was born in Rhyl, Flintshire in 1893.
Little is known of his early life, other than he was a brother of Miss A Morris of Vron House, Clay Street, Rhyl, Flintshire.
The 1911 Census shows that he was a boarder at 3 Church Street, Rhyl and was employed as a Junior Outfitters Assistant.
He enlisted as Private No. 17261 at the Recruitment Centre, Chester, England with 13th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers and arrived in France with the Battalion on Wednesday 1 December 1915.
Thomas ia also remembered on a Remembrance plaque at The Royal Alexandra Hospital, Marine Drive, Rhyl, Flintshire and on The North Wales Heroes Memorial Arch, Deiniol Road, Bangor, North Wales.
