Peter Allsop Jones was born in Llandegai, Bangor, Caernarfonshire during July 1898.
The 1911 Census shows that the family lived at ‘Annedale’, Trinity Street, Llandudno, North Wales. The head of the family was Thomas Inman Jones aged 52, a Retired Architect and Surveyor. His wife Sarah Jane Jones aged 50, and their six children – George Allsop Jones aged 28, a Draper, Sally Jones aged 21, William Hugh Jones aged 19, a Draper’s Assistant, Thomas Inman Jones aged 14, Percy Allsop Jones aged 12 and Charles Gwynfor Jones aged 8 years.
No record can be found of Percy living in Rhyl, Flintshire.
On 11 December 1918, a payment of £13. 11s. 8d. was made by the War Office to Mr Thomas Inman Jones, being monies owed to his son Percy. On 10 December 1919, a further payment which is recorded as a War Gratuity of £6. 0s. 0d. was also made to him.
Percy is also remembered on the Llandudno War Memorial.
There is no Flintshire Roll of Honour card for him at the County Archives Office, Hawarden, Flintshire.
