Date of entry – 13th September 1904.   Previous school – Buckley Nat. Sch.   Scholarships etc. – Bursar, Mids, 1908. Date of leaving – Midsummer 1910.   Occupation – Teacher.

L/Cpl.  Period of Service August 1914 – April 1916.   Missing in Mesopotamia 9th April 1916. – Card not signed but dated 24th October 1919.   (Card written in pencil, bar 9th April 1916 which was written in red ink)

Randal Jones in the British Army WWI Medal Rolls Index Cards, 1914-1920 tells us that his first Theatre of War was the Balkans and he entered it on the 28th June 1915.   This source tells us that he was killed in action on the 9th April 1915.
