Last Friday, on the 14th November 2014, Flintshire War Memorials celebrated the website with a gala evening at The Beaufort Park Hotel. Several researchers stood in turn at the lectern to tell their stories. The front of the lectern was draped with this wonderful Memorial Wall Hanging.
The quilt was made by Jane Marriott (pictured) who is one of the Hope/Caergwrle team of researchers and her amazing quilt features images and words that represent both Memorials and those named on it.
Congratulations Jane. It really is stunning and deserves a very special home.
