Radio Cymru recently broadcast a Welsh language programme about aspects of WW1. It featured the story of George Povey of Connah’s Quay who was shot at dawn in February 1915 for ‘Quitting his Post’. The story was researched for this website by Mavis Williams but in this broadcast it is Welsh speaking researcher, Keith Humphreys who helps to tell the story.
