Emily Boswell married Edwin Lomax in 1899 at Bury, Lancashire. In the 1911 census for Bury we find Edwin Lomax born 1868, Spotland, with wife Emily Lomax b 1876, Buckley, and son James Lomax b 1900 in Lancashire. In 1891, Elily/Emily Boswell, age 17 born Buckley Mountain, was a nurse with the Atkins family in Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire. This seems to correspond to Emma age 7 in the 1881 census for Buckley Mountain. James William Lomax was born in Bury in 1899.

James Boswell’s other grandson was Thomas Wall, a Private in the Lancashire Fusiliers died 7th May 1915 remembered on the Helles Memorial. In 1901, the Boswell family in Ewloe Place were next door neighbours of Thomas Antrobus.
