Emily Boswell married Edwin Lomax in 1899 at Bury, Lancashire. In the 1911 census for Bury we find Edwin Lomax born 1868, Spotland, with wife Emily Lomax b 1876, Buckley, and son James Lomax b 1900 in Lancashire. In 1891, Elily/Emily Boswell, age 17 born Buckley Mountain, was a nurse with the Atkins family in Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire. This seems to correspond to Emma age 7 in the 1881 census for Buckley Mountain. James William Lomax was born in Bury in 1899.

James Boswell’s other grandson was Thomas Wall, a Private in the Lancashire Fusiliers died 7th May 1915 remembered on the Helles Memorial. Their son, Robert Thomas was born in Chester in 1896.

In 1901, the Boswell family in Ewloe Place were next door neighbours of Thomas Antrobus.
