There are two identical memorials in Cilcain that commemorate the seven men who died in World War One. They are in the form of brass plaques that list the seven names and give brief details of how the men died. One is fixed to the wall of St. Mary’s Church and the other is fixed to the wall of the Chapel – known as Capel Gad.
Mae dwy gofeb union yr un fath yng Nghilcain sy’n coffáu’r saith dyn a fu farw yn y Rhyfel Byd Cyntaf. Maent yn y ffurf placiau pres sy’n rhestru’r saith enw a rhowch fanylion byr am sut bu farw y dynion. Mae un yn ei osod ar wal Eglwys y Santes Fair a’r llall yn cael ei osod ar wal Capel Gad.
