Thanks to Darryl Porrino for this photograph “What is that saying about waiting ages for a bus?.. In the space of 5 days I have been lucky enough to acquire medals to 2 Rhyl men who are listed on the war memorial. 1st is Percy Allsop Jones, born in Llandegai, Bangor. He lived in Llandudno with his family before they moved to Rhyl. I have his victory medal. He was killed in action on the 21st August 1918, shot in the head by a sniper. 2nd is William Edward Davies L/cpl 3005 RWF. He died of wounds on the 13th Feb 1919 ( his headstone says 16th Feb.) I have his British War medal & Victory medal. The seller even included a copy of his page from your website!”
