Little is known at the present time. William Edwards was married to Mrs A.E. Edwards (formally Hughes) and they lived at 28 Battery Row, Greenfield, Flintshire. (Battery Row, Bryn Celyn, Greenfield consists of 30 cottages which were built for workers employed in the Greenfield Copper and Brass Works).
He is also remembered on the North Wales Heroes Memorial Arch, Deiniol Road, Bangor, Gwynedd, North Wales.
