    COUNTY HERALD – 30th November 1917 – Connah’s Quay

For Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Comforts – On Sunday evening, in the Primitive Methodist Chapel, Connah’s Quay, there was a large congregation, when the choir gave a rendering of the beautiful cantata, entitled “King Saul,” by Jamouneau.   There were soloists from the locality and the immediate districts, and the cantata was conducted by Mr. Foulkes.   The financial result is considered very satisfactory, and the funds will be devoted towards providing comforts for the soldiers and sailors
