Hughes, William

William Hughes was born in Rhyl, Flintshire, North Wales.

His mother was Mary Hughes and the family lived at 92, Millbank, Rhyl, Flintshire.

At the outbreak of the First World War, William enlisted at the Recruitment Centre, Rhyl with 13th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers.  Following training he left for France with the Battalion on Friday 3 December 1915.

He is also remembered on The North Wales Heroes Memorial Arch, Deiniol Road, Bangor, North Wales and on a Remembrance Plaque at The Royal Alexandra Hospital, Marine Drive, Rhyl, Flintshire.
