Jackson, Hugh

Hugh Jackson survived the war and was honoured by the people of Queensferry by being named on The Roll of Honour.

Hugh’s Flintshire WW1 Index Card (Hawarden L65) tells us that his address was 77, Excelsior Terrace, Queensferry and his regimental details above, and his rank on Demobilization.   Period of his service was 3 years and 342 days.   The card was dated 14th February 1920 but was not signed.

On the Absent Voter’s List – 1918, which is held at the Flintshire Record Office at Hawarden, Hugh and his brother Samuel Charles were noted down living at 77, Station Road, in the Queensferry Ward – Parish of West Saltney.
