The regimental details at the top of this page are confirmed. This source tells us that he ‘Died’ at Home. (As opposed to being killed in action or dying of wounds). This suggests that he died of illness or an accident. So far we have not found any medal details for him.

UK Register of Soldiers’ Effects in which the army calculated monies owed to deceased soldiers includes an entry for Thomas Evans. It tells us that he died in the Royal Infirmary at Chester on 14th April 1916. A total of £9 ..11sh .. 7d was paid to widow Maud for herself and children.
