Thomas, Arthur

His Flintshire Roll of Honour card tells us that he lived in Rhydygoleu and that his father’s name was Robert Thomas. The card states his regiment and number but we have been unsuccessful so far in finding any military records whatsoever.

We have traced an Arthur Thomas on the 1911 census. He was 15 and a fruiterer’s errand boy. He lived in Brook Terrace, Clay Lane, Mold with his parents – Robert 53, a tin plate worker, mother Mary 48. His siblings were John Edward 23, a grocer’s assistant, Elizabeth 21 a draper’s assistant, Robert 17 a tin plate worker, Emily 12 and Annie 7 were both at school.
