The 1911 census places this family in Bod Afon Brook St. Arthur was a 16 year old ironmonger living with his parents William 45 a saddler and Mary 46. His siblings were Albert Edward 21 a coal hewer. The rest were all at school –  Beatrice 13, Kezia (?) 11, Myfanwy 10 , Herbert Crawford 8 and Phylis 7 . (The census forms tells us that Mary had given birth to 12 children in total and 10 of them were still alive so three were  not at home.)

The Flintshire Roll of Honour confirms this Brook St address and is signed by sister Beatrice Evans
