Howell, Joseph Leigh

How is Joseph Leigh Howell linked with Hope and Caergwlre?

Joseph Leigh Howell is also remembered on the Northop Memorial because he was a native of Northop, having lived with his family at Celyn Farm from infancy.   Joseph appears on the 1891 census in Northop, aged 16, and thereafter is thought to have have been in South Africa.

He is remembered on the Hope and Caergwrle memorials because his parents Gilbert and Mary Emma Howell were living in Hope Village from about 1911.  His father died in 1914, and his mother in 1922.
