William Henry Williams was born in 1891 the eldest child of John and Anne Williams (nee Vaughan) of Spon Green, Buckley. In 1901 the family was living at Spon Green. Head of the household was John Williams 30, a boilermaker. His wife Anne was 31. Their listed children were William H 10, Mary 4 and James 4, all born in Buckley. John Williams died in 1909.
In 1911, William Henry was 20, a coal miner who was living at Newton in Makerfield, a boarder with Samuel Edwards born Buckley.
William Henry is remembered with his father on a grave at Bistre Church.

No medal card or service record has been found for William Henry suggesting that he did not serve overseas, but he was buried with military honours.
