Biographical Details Known The 1901 census tells us that Daniel was 6 and lived with his family in Mold. His father was Edward and a coal hewer and his mother was Harriet. There seems to have been quite a houseful as Daniel had five siblings (Annie ? 12, George 11, Gladys 8, Caradoc 3 and Edward 7 mnths). In addition there was a widowed sister in law - Jane Parry and her two grown up children John 18 and William 16.
By the 1911 census the household had shrunk and included Daniel now 17 and an 'odd jobs' man. His mother Harriet was widowed. George was 21 and a collier, Caradoc was 14 and also an 'odd jobs' man. There was an 8 year old daughter named Margaret Lillian. The form also tells us that Harriet had given birth to 9 children but only 7 were still alive.
The newspaper cutting below gives us a few more details.
