Biographical Details Known Henry was born in Mold in 1885. The 1901 census finds him aged 16, living with his family at a shop at 22 High Street, Mold. His father was Robert Baker aged 61 a chemist and grocer who had been born in Bagillt. His mother was Mold born Mary aged 55. The children were:
James Herbert a chemist's assistant,
Catherine Ann Williams a married daughter aged 32
Robert aged 28 and a chemist,
George Rodney aged 23 and a chemist
Henry aged 16 and a chemist's apprentice
Constance Mary was 14
Florence Emily was 13
All the children were born in Mold.
The 1911 census records that Robert Barker was now a 71 yr old widower living at Lane End Buckley. He was still a chemist.
Henry Barker was 26 and a grocery manager - unmarried.
Blanche Barker was 23 and a housekeeper, single. (Was she Florence Emily on the previous census?)
Catherine (Forcer?) Williams 41 married daughter
Constance Eliz Williams aged 3yrs (Says daughter but surely means grandaughter)
Henry enlisted in Shotton
There is no completed card for Henry in the Flintshire Roll of Honour.
