Biographical Details Known He was the only son of Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Williams of 'Hemington Villa' Pwllglas, Mold Flintshire. The 1901 census places the family in this house and we can see that the father Thomas was a 47 year old Bank Manager. His wife was Mary Elizabeth 38 and the children were all girls apart from Henry. They were Winifred 12, Dorothy 11, Elsie Mary 9, Nesta Frances Sarah 7, Henry Evan Vincent was 4 and the only son. There were two servants and one lady 'visitor' described as a governess who was, ironically, a Swiss-German
In the 1911 census the family is still in 'Hemington' but is much reduced in size. Thomas and Mary Elizabeth are still there and he is still a bank manager. Winifred 22 is a student and the only other child there is Evelyn Letitia who is 6. There was one servant. Where are the rest? It is possible that the older girls were married. Henry Evan Vincent would be 14 - perhaps he was away at boarding school. We have been unable to trace him.
His Flintshire Roll of Honour card says that he received his commission in the London Regiment.
